In-Depth Information
CFP also meant a long-term durability due to excellent properties (fatigue,
creep, corrosion) of the carbon fibre materials and furthermore the whole
project cost less than £90,000. The work was carried out in a total of four
night-time possessions.
16.11 Conclusions
Carbon fibre sheets, plates and rods can be used in a wide variety of
strengthening situations. Their light weight and immense strength make
them easy to install and quite able to deal with the loads imposed on them.
They represent an effective, low-cost solution to the strengthening and
repair of structures.
