13.2.4.6 Cutover to Production System
The purpose of this task is to perform the cutover to the production system.
This involves executing the following:
1. Transport to Production Environment of all the customizing settings and the repository
objects.
2. Perform Conversions of all master and transaction data.
3. Perform Manual Entries of that category of legacy data that are small in volume or are not
easily amenable to data conversion by reason of the complexity of their structure or requires
changes in the context of the envisaged SAP system, etc.
13.2.4.6.1 Final Approval for Going Live
The purpose of this task is to make the final decision on the readiness of the system to go live into
production.
The decision is based on completion of the following requirements:
1. End-user documentation is complete.
2. End-user training is complete.
3. R/3 System Administration is in place.
4. The technical setup is complete.
5. Conversion of customization settings and master and transaction data is complete.
6. Production Cutover and Support Plan is in place.

13.2.4.7 Quality Check Final Preparation Phase
This is the final verification of the completion of all tasks involved with the project Final Preparation
Phase.
The SAP-recommended checklist for the Final Preparation Phase is as follows:
1. Verify that the project team status and Steering Committee meetings took place.
2. Confirm that a team building activity has occurred or is scheduled.
3. Verify that the user training was completed successfully.
4. Confirm the administration of the productive system.
5. Ensure that the various R/3 system tests yield the required results.
6. Review the production support plan and verify completeness.
7. Verify the cutover was performed successfully.
13.2.4.8 Sign-Off Final Preparation Phase
This task is concerned with obtaining the final sign-off from the project management and approval
to proceed to the final phase.
