Cycle 3 : The purpose of this cycle is to tune the configuration and master data by running
high-priority business processes.
Cycle 4 : The purpose of this cycle is to tune the configuration by running the business pro-
cesses that include exceptions transactions, reports, and user profiles.
The final configuration and confirmation process is similar to that adopted for the Baseline
scope except that in the BPML, only those processes are selected that were set to indicate Cycle
1, 2, 3, or 4.
The subtasks involved are listed here:
1. Revise Final Scope.
2. Create Configuration Plan for Final Scope.
3. Prepare Test Cases.
4. Prepare Test Plan for Final Scope.
5. Assign Resources.
6. Approve Plans for Final Scope Configuration.
13.2.3.6.1 Configure and Validate Final Scope (Cycle 1 to n )
This involves changing the configuration settings for the Final scenarios and processes. The
completed settings are migrated to the QA environment for testing using the test plans and test
cases prepared earlier. The information gathered during this task also helps in revising the BPML
Configuration document as well as the Business Blueprint.
The task, which is similar to that undertaken for the Baseline scope as explained earlier, con-
sists of the following subtasks:
1. Configure Processes and Functions.
2. Transport Objects to Quality Assurance System.
3. Test Final Configuration.
4. Establish Final Configuration.
13.2.3.6.2 Establish Final Confirmation (Cycle 1 to n )
This task has the responsibility to formulate confirmation scenarios that could be enacted into the
system to verify the successful configuration of the system. Again, this is similar to approach used
for Baseline confirmation except that this is conducted in iterative cycles.
This involves the following subtasks:
1. Prepare Final Confirmation Scenarios.
2. Perform Final Confirmation Scenarios.

1. Develop Forms.
2. Develop Reports.
3. Develop Conversion Programs.
4. Develop Application Interface Programs.
5. Develop Enhancements.
