SAP recommends the documentation of the technical infrastructure using its template ( IT )
Infrastructure Document. This task involves the following:
1. Prepare System Layout and Distribution.
2. Prepare Print Infrastructure.
3. Prepare Network Topology.
4. Prepare Interface Topology.
5. Prepare Change Request Management.
6. Prepare Release Management Strategy.
7. Prepare Desktop Management Strategy.
13.2.2.4.2 Set Up Development Environment
The objective of this task is to use the technical design to set up the development and sandbox
client system. This involves the following:
1. Install Initial hardware.
2. Prepare Initial System Landscape.
3. Configure and Test Transport System.
4. Install Desktop Components for Project Members.
5. Prepare User Master Records and Secure the System.
6. Install Initial Printing Services.
7. Set Up Remote Connection to SAP.
13.2.2.4.3 Establish System Administration Functions
This task deals with defining, testing, and establishing the system administration procedures for
the development system. It involves the following:
1. Conduct Basis and System Administration Workshop.
2. Define System Administration for Development System.
3. Configure the computer center management system (CCMS) based on the earlier definition.
4. Define Backup Strategy.
13.2.2.4.4 Initialize IMG
The purpose of this task is to create the IMG:
1. Initialize IMG.
2. Create Enterprise IMG.
3. Create Project Header and generate Project IMG.
