Walk one block to St. Charles Avenue and turn right. Continue walking to
2618 St. Charles. Known as the Belfort Mansion, this 19th-century Greek
Revival home housed seven strangers in the 2000 edition of the MTV reality
show
The Real World: New Orleans.

Walk another block to 2524 St. Charles to the Greek Revival home known as
the Claiborne Cottage. Anne Rice lived here as a teenager, and the home is
the setting for her book
Violin.

Continue walking to 2220 St. Charles. The House of Broel was built in the
1850s by George Washington Squires. The house, which today is used as a
wedding and party venue, features the Mystic Ballroom, a lavish setting with
ornate chandeliers and original black-marble fireplaces. The house is open
for public tours.
