This shows one row of what could potentially be an entire spreadsheet of character ani-
mations. Creating these types of notations not only helps you reference your own charac-
ter when you import animations into your game engine, but can also help team members
if you are not the one doing the importing.
Knowing how to organize art assets and create references for team members is an
important part of working with other game developers. Communicating is one of the
most critical parts of developing games, and creating reference guides like this makes
everyone's life easier. Having these reference numbers as you go into Unity will make
your life easier as your project comes together.
Now you've created a zombie character ready to be exported to a game engine. In
Chapter 9, “Unity Engine Basics,” you will get an overview of the Unity interface and
create a simple scene in which you will eventually fight your zombie.
