That's it for the unwrapping process: picking seams, marking them, and pressing the U
key. Next you will apply this knowledge to your zombie model.
Drawing Seams on the Zombie
Now that you understand the basics of Blender's UV Unwrap tools, you can apply your
knowledge to much more complex objects like your zombie. The process of unwrapping
a cube is the same as the one that you'll use for the zombie. You will want to create seams
in such a way that pieces unwrap nicely according to their form and textures. In this case,
you will divide the model into parts, creating the following UV “islands”:
Head and neck
Front of coat left
Front of coat right
Back of coat
Shirt
Shirt collar
Front of pants
Back of pants
Inside of mouth, top
Inside of mouth, bottom
Upper jaw teeth
Lower jaw teeth
Let hand
Right hand
Let shoe
Left shoe sole
Right shoe
Right shoe sole
