Hamilton college Theater and Studio arts,
Hamilton college, clinton, ny
This college was physically divided for a long time into two campuses sep-
arated by a busy road. This project bridges that gap with a new arts area
consisting of three buildings, a network of pathways, and an extended
watercourse. A series of lawn-covered ramps weaves through a sloping
site and serves to physically connect the buildings to outdoor terraces
and extensive landscape. Three ponds were constructed to manage storm
water and, at the same time, give new life to a woodland stream corridor.
