Orientation to Bayonne
Bayonne's two rivers, the grand Adour and the petite Nive, divide the city into three parts:
St-Esprit, with the train station; and the more interesting Grand Bayonne and Petit Bay-
onne, which together make up the Old Town.
Tourist Information
The TI is in a modern parking lot a block off the mighty Adour River, on the northeastern
edge of Grand Bayonne. They have very little in English other than a map and a town
brochure (July-Aug Mon-Sat 9:00-19:00, Sun 10:00-18:00; March-June and Sept-Oct
Mon-Fri 9:00-18:30, Sat 10:00-18:00, closed Sun; shorter hours in off-season; Place des
Basques, tel. 08 20 42 64 64, www.bayonne-tourisme.com ) . There's a pay WC in the rear.
