8:00-12:30 & 15:00-19:30, Sun 9:00-12:00).
Internet Access: Ask the TI where you can get connected. The Café de la Mairie (at the
recommended Hôtel de la Mairie) and the recommended Brasserie le Glacier have
free Wi-Fi for customers.
Laundry: Madame Mazzocato runs a good launderette across from the recommended
Hôtel la Couleuvrine (self-serve daily 24 hours, drop-off/pickup Mon-Fri 8:00-12:00
& 14:00-18:30, Sat 8:00-12:00, none Sun, 10 Place de la Bouquerie). And for Rick
Steves readers, she will drop off laundry at your (Sarlat) hotel. Another self-serve
laundry isnearthehotelsnorthofthecenter(daily7:00-21:00,74AvenueGambetta).
Biking: Sarlat is surrounded by beautiful country lanes that would be ideal for biking
were it not for all those hills. Villages along the Dordogne River make good biking
destinations, though expect some traffic and ups and downs between Sarlat and the
river (the TI and bike-rental places can advise quieter routes). You can rent bikes
at @toutLoc (near the train station at 26 Route du Lot, tel. 05 53 28 18 33, atout-
loc24@yahoo.fr ) andthrough Aquitaine Bike, runbyaBritish-Americancouplewho
can deliver bikes to your hotel in and near Sarlat in non-summer months and provide
roadside assistance (3-day minimum for most bikes, tours available, tel. 05 53 30 35
17, www.aquitainebike.com , aquitainebike@gmail.com ) . The TI has information on
bike rental outside Sarlat.
