Crêperie le St. Romain, between the cathedral and St. Maclou Church, is an excellent
budget option. It's run by gentle Mr. Pegis, who serves filling €9 crêpes with small salads
in a warm setting (lunch Tue-Sat, dinner Thu-Sat, closed Sun-Mon, 52 Rue St. Romain,

Dame Cakes is ideal if it's lunchtime or teatime and you need a Jane Austen fix.
The decor is from another, more precious era, and the baked goods are out of this world

La Petite Bouffe is a colorful, cheery place with tall windows, a young vibe, and

outdoor terrace and three lively floors filled with orange leather booths (regional menus ,

Les Nymphéas is le place to do it up well in Rouen. Indoor and garden tables are

Rouen Connections
Rouen is well served by trains from Paris, via Amiens to other points north, and via Caen
to other destinations west and south.
From Rouen by Train to: Paris 'GareSt.Lazare(nearlyhourly,1.5hours), Bayeux
(4/day, 2.5 hours, change in Caen; more trips possible via Paris' Gare St. Lazare, 4-5
hours), Pontorson/Mont St-Michel (2/day, 4 hours, change in Caen; more with change in
Paris, 7 hours).
By Train and Bus to: Honfleur (6/day Mon-Sat, 3/day Sun, 1-hour train to Le
Havre, then easy transfer to 30-minute bus over Normandy Bridge to Honfleur—Le
Havre's bus and train stations are adjacent).
