$$$ Higher Priced —Most rooms €90 or more.
$$ Moderately Priced —Most rooms between €60-90.
$ Lower Priced —Most rooms €60 or less.
Prices can change without notice; verify the hotel's current rates online or by

$$ Hôtel de la Cathédrale** welcomes you with a lovely courtyard and a cozy,
wood-beamed breakfast room. Guest rooms are mostly country-French with basic bath-
rooms and imperfect sound insulation, but lots of character (Db-€90-120, Tb/Qb-
€140-160, elevator, guest computer, Wi-Fi, 12 Rue St. Romain, a block from St. Maclou
Church, tel. 02 35 71 57 95, www.hotel-de-la-cathedrale.fr , contact@hotel-de-la-cathed-
rale.fr ) .
$ Hôtel des Arcades is bare-bones basic, but as cheap and central as it gets (S-€42,
D-€50 plus €5 to shower down the hall, Db-€56-62, 52 Rue des Carmes, tel. 02 35 70 10
30, www.hotel-des-arcades.fr , hotel_des_arcades@yahoo.fr ).
Eating in Rouen
You can eat well in Rouen at fair prices. Because you're in Normandy, crêperies abound.
For a simple meal inside or out, prowl the places between the St. Maclou and St. Ouen
churches (along Rues Martainville and Damiette), or the ever-so-hip Rue de l'Eau de
Robec. Otherwise, try the recommendations below.
