In-Depth Information
Bus Routes: There's only one bus line on the hill itself—the Montmartrobus electric
bus—which connects Pigalle, Abbesses, and Place du Tertre in 10 minutes (4/hour). At
the base of the hill are several good bus options: Catch bus #67 (next to the Pigalle Métro
station) and ride it to the Louvre, along the Seine by the Marais, across Ile St. Louis,
and eventually to the Jardin des Plantes. You can also catch bus #30 on the north side
of Boulevard Rochechouart direction Trocadéro, and ride it past Parc Monceau and the
Jacquemart-André Museum, to the top of the Champs-Elysées and around the whirling
Arc de Triomphe roundabout, to its final destination the Trocadéro, which sits across the
Seine from the Eiffel Tower. Or, you could catch bus #30 on the south side of Boulevard
Rochechouart and ride it direct to Gare de l'Est.
Taxi: A taxi stand is near the Pigalle Métro stop on the corner of Rue Houdon and
busy Boulevard Rochechouart.
