indoor pool is the perfect place to refresh yourself after a long flight.

fortable rooms, a large lobby filled with greenery and comfortable seating, an indoor pool,
a fitness center, spa services, a restaurant, and a lounge.

M Delta Calgary Airport (403/291-2600 or 888/492-8804, www.deltahotels.com , $279
s or d) is the only accommodation right at the airport. The main terminal is linked to the
hotel lobby by a walkway that leads into an expansive atrium and restaurant. The medium-
size rooms come with luxuries like down duvets and plush bathrobes, each has a writing
desk, and most importantly, they are well soundproofed. Premier Rooms, which are the
same size as regular rooms, come with upgraded furnishings for a few bucks extra. Hotel
amenities include two restaurants, a lounge, an indoor pool, and a business center.
CAMPGROUNDS
No camping is available within the Calgary city limits, although campgrounds can be
found to the east and west along the TransCanada Highway.
West
The only Calgary campground with an outdoor swimming pool is M Calgary West

$40-46), on a north-facing hill a short way west of Canada Olympic Park. In addition to
the pool, modern facilities include showers, a laundry room, a game room, and a grocery
store. Around 320 sites are laid out on terraces, so no one misses out on the views.
Calaway Park (10 km/6.2 mi west of the city limits, 403/249-7372,
www.calawaypark.com , mid-May-Aug., tent sites $28, hookups $32-38) is farther out
along the TransCanada Highway. It offers a large, open camping area. Trees are scarce, but
on clear days the view of the Canadian Rockies is spectacular.
East
