junction is
Highwood Ranger Station
(403/558-2151, 10am-6pm Thurs.-Mon. late June-
early Sept.).
Kananaskis Country is not served by any form of public transportation, nor are there
guided tours. Instead, drive your own vehicle or a rental and head west from Calgary or
east from Banff along the TransCanada Highway. The main access point is equidistant
from both (around 50 minutes), from where Highway 40 heads south to the parks and
places detailed above.
