With prearranged transportation, this is an easy trail that gives hikers a real sense of
achievement—walking from Kananaskis Country to downtown Banff. Beginning from the
north end of the Spray Valley Provincial Park, the trail closely parallels Goat Creek for
nine kilometers (5.6 miles) to the confluence of the Spray River, which it then follows all
the way to the grounds of the famous Fairmont Banff Springs. This is also a good trail for
mountain biking or cross-country skiing. It's downhill all the way.
