In-Depth Information
Not only are there storage concerns, as we have seen, but performance implica-
tions are severe. Enabling the development audit level at the SOA Infrastruc-
ture can result in approximately a 40 percent hit in composite instance perform-
ance!
Audit levels
Although audit levels can be configured in various areas, as we shall describe
shortly, they mostly (but not in every case) fall under one of these four levels:
Off: Absolutely no composite instance or payload information is collected. Al-
though this is the best in terms of performance, it severely limits the visibility
as no information is logged, rendering it an option that is not recommended
in most cases. Instances are created, but nothing is logged to the database
or displayed on the console, which may lead to difficulties in fault diagnosis
and incident analysis.
