In-Depth Information
The
copyBinary.sh
script can be executed in a terminal by passing a few
arguments in the following syntax:
copyBinary -javaHome $JAVA_HOME -archiveLoc <ARCHIVE_LOC> -sourceMWHomeLoc $MW_HOME
Replace the
<ARCHIVE_LOC>
argument with the actual name and location
of the directory to save the archive, for example,
/backup/soa/cloning/
archive/mw_backup.jar
.
Copying archive to remote location
If you intend to extract and copy the compressed Middleware Home archive to
a remote location, ensure that the
$MW_HOME/oracle_common/bin/pas-
teBinary.sh
and
$MW_HOME/oracle_common/jlib/cloningcli-
ent.jar
files are copied to the target system, and an execute permission is
granted on them.
It is important to note that the
pasteBinary.sh
script and
cloningcli-
ent.jar
file have to be copied to the same directory on the target system as
they were in the source system.
Extracting the archive
The
pasteBinary.sh
script is used to extract the files from the archive at a
target host by using the following syntax:
copyBinary -javaHome $JAVA_HOME -archiveLoc <ARCHIVE_LOC> -targetMWHomeLoc $MW_HOME
Backing up and moving a domain
