How performance of your infrastructure is directly impacted by the underlying
dehydration store and the different database parameters that need to be
tuned.
Optimal tuning ultimately depends on your hardware sizing as well as the nature
of applications running on your infrastructure. There cannot be a one-size-fits-all
strategy for tuning, and many of the recommendations provided in this chapter
have been proven to yield considerable optimization in actual production envir-
onments. You should now be knowledgeable in enough areas to realize a highly
performing environment. Remember that performance tuning is an iterative ex-
ercise. It is important that you get in to the habit of measuring, tuning, testing,
and repeating.
