SUMMARY
Although Excel offers great flexibility with its VBA macro language, both the calculation and
graphics performance are somewhat limited. In this section, the reader is shown how to interface
Matlab and Origin with Excel to make up for these deficiencies. Hopefully, at some point, Microsoft
will upgrade the graphics performance of Excel to true presentation-quality graphics and enhance
the computational engine in terms of its processing speed and functional abilities. Until such a
time occurs, users will be forced to cross-integrate Excel with other applications to achieve optimum
results.
