Tell me your status… I'll tell you who you are
We should be thankful for this small bar at the top of our chatting list or on the top of our
pages. It took off the mental burden that comes with trying to predict what others might
have been feeling or thinking which used to burden our mind. It's now easier to know what
others are thinking and understand the emotions they are experiencing at that time and
maybe even a sneak peek at their beliefs. The message might not always be clear to under-
stand at the time. Even if you think that it is a simple and a clear one, it has a hidden mes-
sage within.
State of chat is a state of mind, so to say.
But we have to ask ourselves what does that status we are reading really means?! What is
the urge behind setting that status at that certain time?
There are many variables and status types that we often use, and hereunder are the most
common ones. Let's see which one of the bellow cases is yours or your beloved favorites.
Offline mood:
People who usually like to set their status as offline or invisible to others during their time
online; are usually privet people in life and like to keep their privacy intact.
They are selective people, for they can see who is online and who is not and yet they chose
to be invisible. They do not give the same privilege to just anyone, selecting a certain
friend to chat with depending on their mood at that time.
People who have so much to do in their lives, lots of responsibilities and duties, have no in-
terest in adding to their hectic schedule. Being available means having more commitments.
Offline mood only for you:
