In-Depth Information
Coronation Park is always a pleasant place to sit and wander. It was donated to the
people of Jersey by Florence, Lady Trent to celebrate the coronation of King George VI
in 1937.
In addition to the manicured gardens there is a children's playground, a paddling pool
and refreshment kiosk. Close to the park is St Matthew's Church, also know as the Glass
Church so it is easy to combine a visit to both.
Durrell Wildlife Park : This has to be of the most pleasant places on the island to pass
a few hours whilst helping to contribute to the conservation of some of the world's most
endangered species of animals on the planet.
Situated in the northern parish of Trinity the grounds are open from 09.30 to 18.00 every
day, except Christmas Day. There is free parking for 350 cars plus cycle racks for those
who get here under their own power. It is also on bus routes 3, 13 and 23.
