Which beach with which wind:
Depending upon the direction of the wind some beaches are more suitable than others, the
following are some suggestions:
Winds from the west: Beauport, St Brelade's, St Aubin's, Anne Port, Archirondel, Rozel,
Bouley Bay, Bonne Nuit and Greve de Lecq.
Winds from the north: Beauport, St Brelade's, Ouaisne, Portelet, St Aubin's and Green
Island.
Winds from the east: St Ouen's, Beauport, St Brelade's, Ouaisne, St Aubin's, Greve de
Lecq and Plemont.
Winds from the south: Plemont, Greve de Lecq, Bonne Nuit, Bouley Bay and Rozel.
Please use the above advice with a degree of caution because unless it is one of those rare
days when there is a howling onshore wind many of the bays are suitable to visit on most
days. Often what is more influential is the state of the tide, for example Plemont is not suit-
able for the beach enthusiast when the tide is in, whilst somebody interested in swimming
would avoid St Aubin's Bay at low tide.
