Looking towards Bonne Nuit from near Belle Hougue
Greve de Lecq: The most popular north coast beach with plenty of parking, although it
can be difficult to find a space on a hot summer weekend. It is sheltered from all wind
directions apart from the north. The beach is generally steeply shelving sand. Swimming
is generally safe but at times there can be significant breaking waves, which can dump on
the beach with explosive force. During the summer months there is lifeguard cover so re-
member to observe the flags. On the eastern side of the bay there are numerous rock pools
to entertain the younger members of the family.
Groups of wetsuit clad adventurers will often be seen heading out along the rocks as Greve
de Lecq marks the start of some of the finest coasteering on the Island. A visit out to the
