Accommodation
There is a wide range of accommodation available in Jersey, which should suit most tastes
and pockets. During the winter and shoulder months the choice available is much more re-
stricted but it is often possible to obtain excellent deals in those hotels, which are open. Al-
though Jersey is quite a small island, it is well worth considering what sort of activities and
visits you are likely to be undertaking and select somewhere accordingly.
Campsites: The number of campsites on the island has decreased in recent years with fewer
options available for those people who enjoy spending their nights under canvas. The de-
cline in campsites is a real shame because for a large number of people, particularly families,
it provided a cost effective means of being able to visit the Island.
Beuvelande Camp Site : Close to both Gorey and St Catherine's it is ideally placed for a
family holiday.

your own tent or hire a yurt for extra luxury.

Jersey Yurt Holiday : Overlooking St Aubin's Bays are an unusual destination for a stay at
any time of the year regardless of what your previous camping experience is. In addition to
the Yurt's there are shower rooms, BBQ areas, kitchen and hot tub including other facilities.

Education, Sport and Culture:
The Education Department has a couple of premises, which may be available to visiting
youth groups if staff are trained appropriately. They do get booked early on with local
groups but it may be worth enquiring with the Jersey Youth Service to see if there is avail-
ability.

Guest Houses:
There are no longer the number of guest houses, which existed at the height of the tourist
industry but there are still a number dotted around the Island, which provide good value.
