at Grosnez in a howling winter storm with spray sweep over the cliff tops is a mem-
orable experience.
3.) Watch the sunset at Corbiere - the south west corner of the island is the spot
to watch the sun sink below the western horizon, a popular activity it is unlikely
that you will be on your own at any time of the year. It is always possible to run
up the hill to the Corbiere Phare to have a drink or meal to accompany the sun-
set. In the winter the sun sets well to the south of the lighthouse whereas in June it
sets more towards Guernsey. Who knows you may be fortunate enough to catch a
glimpse of the “green flash”.
Sunset at Corbiere or walking the cliff paths on the north coast. What a choice!
