In-Depth Information
The cycle track follows the sea wall in St Aubin's Bay before heading up the Rail-
way Walk towards Corbiere.
2. Waterworks Valley. Running inland from Millbrook, Waterworks Valley
is a hidden gem, which is probably missed by most visitors to the Island.
From West Park cycle along the front before turning inland at the Old Sta-
tion Café. Turn right when reaching the inner road and then left into Water-
works Valley. The narrow road winds its way through one of the most de-
lightful valleys on the island. Just beyond Dannemarche Reservoir the road
splits, take the right hand fork and at the top of the hill turn right onto
Mont Cochon. Follow this road all the way back to St Aubin's Bay, close
to where you started.
3. Jersey Tourism has produced a range of cycle routes, which radiate around
the island, many of them following the routes of the “Green Lane” net-
work. The routes range in distance from just over 1 mile to about 40 miles.
For those visitors who want to accept the main challenge then Route 1 is for
you, as it follows the coast in a clockwise direction. All of the routes are
clearly marked by blue signs, with a green map of the island and a bike su-
perimposed on top. Full details of all routes and maps can be down loaded
from the Tourism website.
