miles to the south.
Mont Orgueil Castle seen from the air and looking out from the walls, across the Royal
Bay of Grouville.
The Castle helped to protect the island against French invasion for several hundred years
and every time you visit there always appears to be something new to discover as it is a
labyrinth of staircases, corridors and rooms.
It is open daily from the end of March until the beginning of November whilst it is open
from Friday to Monday during the winter months.
If traveling by bus take the number 1 or 1b, which both stop at Gorey Pier, and then it is
just a short walk up the hill.
