Jersey Archive : The Jersey Archive was established in 1993 to preserve the islands re-
cords. As well as collecting the records there is a commitment to making the information
as widely available as possible. Individuals can visit the Archive in person to undertake
their research.
Opening hours are 09.00 until 17.00 on Tuesday and Wednesdays, with late night opening
until 19.00 on Thursdays. In addition they are open from 09.00 until 13.00 on the third
Saturday of the month.
If you are going to visit the Jersey Archive remember to take some photographic identific-
ation along with you, which is necessary to be able to register as a reader.
The Jersey Archive is in Clarence Road, St Helier.
The Jersey Archive is in modern purpose built premises. During the year there are a
number of lectures open to the public, “What's your street's story” series particularly in-
teresting.
Jersey Library : The Jersey Library is situated in Halkett Place, St Helier and is open 6
days a week. In addition to the usual topics, which one would expect to find in library the
library holds an extensive collection of local topics as well as having the Jersey Evening
Post on microfilm.
The library opens at 09.30 six days a week and closes at 17.30 apart from Tuesdays and
Saturdays when it closes at 19.30 and 16.00 respectively.
