Jersey Tours have a number of vintage coaches, including a bus, which operated on the
Island in the 1960's. As well as the full day tour they run a number of specialist trips, in-
cluding a return shuttle to the Jersey War Tunnels. Tel: 01534 863624
Customs Allowance: As many items are cheaper in Jersey than elsewhere there is always
the temptation to stock up before heading home. If you are entering the United Kingdom
from Jersey you are permitted the following customs allowance:
200 cigarettes OR 100 cigarillos OR 50 cigars OR 250 grams of tobacco
1 litre of distilled beverages or spirits OR 4 litres of sparkling or fortified wines and 4 litres
of other wines.

Persons under 18 years of age are not entitled to the tobacco or alcohol allowances.
Genuine Jersey: Jersey is well known for its milk and Jersey Royal Potatoes but the Is-
land also grows a wide variety of seasonal produce, which is available for purchase. In
addition to food products a number of local artists and craftsmen manufacture a range of
products including jewellery, pottery, woodwork, glasswork and arts and crafts.
Genuine Jersey products are available from a number of outlets in St Helier as well as else-
where on the Island. In addition a number of Farm and Craft Markets are held at St Aubin's
on Saturday mornings.
Health Care: The General Hospital is in St Helier, with the entrance to the Accident and
Emergency Department in the Parade. As recommended whilst travelling elsewhere in the
world, comprehensive travel insurance is advisable.
Local Media: The Island is well served by local media.
1.) Jersey Evening Post is published 6 days a week and is comprehensive guide as to what
is happening in Jersey as well as covering local and international news. It is published mid
afternoon Monday to Friday and by noon on Saturdays.

2.) Channel TV is the local commercial station and has news bulletins throughout the day
as well as producing a number of local programmes.

3.) Channel 103 is commercial radio station, which although primarily a music station has
local and international news bulletins on the hour. Weather forecasts, surf forecasts and
what's on are also broadcast on 103.7 FM
