he Corozal House of Culture opened in 2012 in a refurbished market that dates back
to 1886. The well-laid-out museum features a broad array of exhibits, including local
art, from wooden carvings to paintings, and an overview of Corozal history, with Maya
artefacts and old photos. It also hosts special events throughout the year, such as
Garifuna drumming performances.

Painted a bright aqua-green, the Corozal Town Hall rises over the centre of town.
Head inside to view an eye-catching mural by Belizean artist Manuel Villamor Reyes,
which vividly depicts local history, from the Caste Wars to the devastating 1955
Hurricane Janet.
