Compounds and of Nanomagnetism. He is co-authored of ca. 410 papers and 10
chapter topics, presented ca. 100 invited seminars/plenary lectures.
His current research topics are mainly concerned by magnetic nanoparticles and
nanostructures, nanostructured materials and mesoporous structures, with a special
emphasis on surfaces, interfaces and grain boundaries, but also magnetic inter-
metallics, mineral chemistry with metal organic frameworks, crystalline and glassy
systems, physical biogeochemistry and earth sciences. In addition, his strategy was
the establishment of numerous national and international collaborations (Algeria,
Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, India, Italy, Mexico, Poland, Slovak Republic, and
Spain) with chemists and solid state physicists as experts in synthesis and com-
puter modeling, respectively. The present studies of materials have required first
collaborative efforts and mutual discussions with chemists, materials scientists and
physicists, and then great attention for describing jointly the Mössbauer spectra
and other experimental data: such an approach should allow thus to establish
structural and magnetic physical models and finally to propose numerical mod-
eling techniques based on ab initio or phenomenological calculations.
