The IASIG does this through a structure of working groups and white
papers. Part of our curriculum has been inspired by work done through
the IASIG's Education Working Group. Membership for individuals is
very reasonable at $50 per year and is a great place to give back to the
community while also working side by side with high-level professionals
in the i eld. The IASIG assembles for a town hall meeting and a separate
social mixer once a year in March during GDC (the Game Developers
Conference).
IGDA
The International Game Developers Association (IGDA) is the largest non-
proi t membership organization in the world and serves all individuals
who create video games. As an international organization, the IGDA is a
global network of collaborative projects and communities comprising
individuals from all i elds of game developmentā€”from programmers
and producers to writers, artists, QA and of course, audio. The IGDA works
via local Chapter meetings, Special Interest Groups (SIGs) and yearly
events that are member supported and driven. They currently have over
90 Chapters and of er a great way to network and connect with all levels
of people in the i eld. Whether you're a student or a seasoned veteran,
the IGDA is a good organization to check out.
