In-Depth Information
Completely surrounded, I asked the schoolmaster whether the children would like to
do "Head, shoulders, knees and toes" with me for fun. This performance attracted an even
bigger crowd of visitors inside Diu Fort, who produced camcorders and cameras. A big hit,
and then the children reciprocated by singing a prayer.
Now, even more locals appeared, shoving in next to us to pose, handing cameras back
and forth to record this "historic" moment when they posed with the " aliens " from Amer-
ica. Shades of China! One last group of men and Niru whispered into Steve's ear. Steve
grabbed my arm, pulling me out of the group, muttering, "These men are drunk. Let's get
out of here."
