different. Each floor has been conceived by a different
Brazilian designer, with some much more successful than
others. Decor differs in terms of colour, tone and texture,
but all the rooms are well equipped, if o n the s mall side.

guesthouse in a penthouse flat like something out of a
design magazine, with panoramic views over Copacabana

this is a favourite of tour groups. The hotel has all the
facilities you'd expect of a place this size and price,
including several bars and restaurants, a rooftop pool and a
business centre. Rooms facing the front have marvellous
ocean views, and although the rack rat e is eye -watering,

wonderful beach views. Popular with gay visitors due to its
proximity to the beach's gay strip. R$662

amenities you might expect, including a (curiously little)

beach, this is one of Rio's most popular hostels, although
the dorms are a bit cramped. In case it's full, there are

Rio's finest hotels, the Caesar Park features every modern
luxury that its celebrity guests would expect. Even the most
basic of rooms are vast, with elegant furniture and huge
beds. The rooftop restaurant and pool have superb views,
and the hotel provides security and lifeguards on the beach
fronting the pro perty. Th e eye-watering rates do not
