The only major attraction on the road to the falls is the
Parque das Aves
, located just
100m from the entrance to the national park on the Brazilian side of the Rio Iguaçu.
The bird park maintains both small breeding aviaries and enormous walk-through
aviaries, which are still surrounded by dense forest (all birds have been rescued from
