In this chapter, we emphasized some of the chal-
lenges in interaction design that modern collabora-
tion systems face. We envisioned a future release
of such a system with features addressing these
challenges. There is only anecdotal evidence about
the effect such enhancements will have. Using
an existing system as a control, we would like
to add the new features and observe the impact:
more commenting, less zombie documents, more
online decision making and recording. If one of
the CMS providers is interested taking that step,
we would be delighted to further the research with
concrete observations.
