UNBRIDLED HORSE COUNTRY
Nothing defines Kentucky culture more than horses. The state's affection toward
Thoroughbreds is evident in everything from the fields of grazing horses and
racetracks to its many horse farms, which offer some of the country's best horseback
riding vacations.
Be sure to visit the legendary horse-racing cathedrals, such as Keeneland and
Churchill Downs, as well as the Bluegrass region's most famous attraction, the Ken-
tucky Horse Park, which features more than 50 different breeds of horses at work and
at play. See the daily equine presentations, and take part in the horse-drawn tours and
carriage rides. At the park's Hall of Champions you'll also have the chance to get up
close and personal with past Kentucky Derby winners.
