Farther down the road in Kipahulu lies Palapala Hoomau Church and the clifftop grave
ofCharlesLindbergh,whospenthislastyearsinKipahulu.Thepavementendsaboutthree
miles past the church. Only four-wheel-drive vehicles are recommended to tackle the un-
tamed route that lies ahead.
