Lake Wallula
Five miles east of Kennewick off Finley Road, Two Rivers County Park is open daily for boating, swimming, and picnicking along the Columbia
River/Lake Wallula.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers operates Hood Park (four mi. southeast of Pasco, 877/444-6777, May-mid-Sept., $18-20), just east of
Pasco for boating, swimming, and picnicking. You can also camp here, on the Snake River near its confluence with the Columbia. Make reserva-

Sacajawea State Park
Two miles east of Pasco off Highway 12, Sacajawea State Park (509/545-2361, www.parks.wa.gov , 6:30 A.M.-dusk Wed.-Sun. Apr.-Sept.) sits
at the confluence of the Snake and Columbia Rivers at the site where Lewis and Clark camped in 1805 on their way to the Pacific Ocean. You can
fish, water-ski, or picnic here. An interpretive center (1-5 P.M. Fri.-Tues.) contains exhibits on Sacajawea—the Shoshone woman who acted as
interpreter for the Lewis and Clark party—plus information about the expedition, videos, and Native American artifacts.
