In-Depth Information
e) Does the enterprise have written procedures for supporting and implementing
application systems integration controls?
Once the integration is established, documentation needs to be produced, which will be
used to support operations of the systems. The IS auditor should review the documentation
in order to ensure that the systems operate according to approved controls and procedures.
f) How often are integration controls reviewed by internal auditors?
Integration controls should be reviewed more regularly and implementation of automated
monitoring systems would help to ensure effective operation of the systems. The IS auditor
should also perform reviews of the integrated systems in order to ensure that controls are
effective and procedures are being followed.
