Dubno is conveniently located only 41km from Kremenets and 66km from Pochayiv,
making it an ideal base from which to explore. The unimaginatively renovated

restaurant seems almost permanently reserved for Dubno's unremitting stream of wed-

is an astonishingly well-appointed guesthouse for rural Ukraine and
the location at the gates of the castle is superb.
Dubno has bus connections to Lutsk (23uah, one hour 20 minutes, 18 daily), Ternopil
(40uah, two hours, 20 daily) and Kremenets (14uah, one hour, twice hourly), from where
you can change onto
marshrutky
for Pochayiv. The vast majority of services leave from
the bus station on the main drag heading east, though some 'through' buses to Lutsk pick
up outside the castle.
