The main recreational zone on the Dnipro islands, Hydropark deafens
people arriving by metro with terrible pop music blasted from dozens of bars all at the
same time. The area around the station is full of tacky entertainment and guys in training
suits. But if you venture a bit further, you'll find less crowded beaches and some quirky
sights - like a giant outdoor gym and a platform, where elderly Kyivites gather to dance
to the tunes of their youth.
