Only 60 miles north Cedar City is Utah's premier theater event—the highly acclaimed Utah
ShakespeareanFestival ★★★. The season, which runs from late June through late October,
includes eight plays—usually three by Shakespeare and five others—in which top actors perform
in true Elizabethan style in an open-air replica of the original Globe Theatre and in a modern en-
closed theater. Recently scheduled productions include Shakespeare's TheMerryWivesofWind-
sor,TitusAndronicus, and Hamlet; plus StonesinHisPockets by Marie Jones and Deathofa
Mockingbird by Christopher Sergel, based on the novel by Harper Lee.
You can also take a backstage tour for $8 per person, and a variety of other programs and special
events are scheduled.

Disabled Travelers The National Park Service has made great strides in recent years in making
their facilities more accessible to those with disabilities. Visitor centers at Zion are wheelchair ac-
cessible, including the restrooms. Accessible campsites are available in South and Watchman
campgrounds; Riverside Walk, at the end of Zion Canyon Scenic Drive, is paved and accessible
with assistance; and Pa'rus Trail is a 2-mile paved and accessible trail, open also to bicyclists.
Zion's shuttle system is completely accessible. In addition, park rangers are extremely receptive
to helping visitors with disabilities. Disabled travelers can obtain free admission and discounts on
many park facilities, such as campgrounds. See “Passes Offer Free Admission on Most Federal
