Export/Import Configuration
Having a disaster recovery plan for your vCenter and vCO databases is clearly a very good idea.
It is also recommended to export your vCO coni guration. You can do this, and protect it with a
password if desired, through the vCenter Orchestrator Coni guration General tab:
1. Open a web browser, and go to
https://<computer IP address or DNS name>:8283
2. Log in with your credentials:
User: vmware
Password: <your password>
3. Click the General tab on the left.
4. Select the Export Coni guration tab.
5. If you would like to password-protect your coni guration (recommended), enter that in
the Password i eld.
6. Click Export.
You r con i guration i le will be stored on the server and the location is displayed on the
screen. The i le is saved with a .vmoconfig i lename extension and the date and time is included
in the i lename. This i le can be imported later if you need to restore your vCO coni guration:
1. Open a web browser, and go to
https://<computer IP address or DNS name>:8283
