Ganges type of temperature trend' and 'AW1' for 'tropical savanna climates' ( http://
bardhaman.nic.in/home.htm ). Average temperature in hot season is 30 °C while at
the cold season is 20 °C and average rainfall is 1,500 mm. The important rivers are
Ajoy, Kunur and Khari. The important canals are Durgapur Branch Canal, Damodar
Branch Canal and Panagarh Branch Canal.
