CONTEXTUAL MENUS
Lightroom is full of contextual menus
(see Figure 1-32); using them is essential
to speeding up your work. A contextual
menu's contents are determined by the
context in which you clicked. Depending
on where you click, contextual menus
appear showing the commands most
useful and appropriate for the object
clicked.

h ough this topic provides many keyboard
shortcuts, I use contextual menus as much
or more than the keyboard. I always work
with a Wacom tablet and stylus and a
right-click or Ctrl+click is ot en faster than
switching to the keyboard.
Color management in
Lightroom
For your photos to look their best,
implementing color management is a
critical aspect of getting from capture
to print. Color management refers to an
integrated system of computer hardware and
sot ware working together to translate color from one device to another in a
controlled way. h e color management system (cms) is built into your computer's
operating system; on Mac it's ColorSync and on Windows Vista and 7 it's wcs
(icm on older versions of Windows).
