In-Depth Information
Clear Layout, below and to the right of New Page, will remove all the cells from all
pages. h is will also delete all but the i rst page in the current layout.

h e Adjust Selected Cell sliders in the bottom section of the panel allow you to resize
the currently selected cell. It's ot en dii cult, if not impossible, to set the sliders to an
exact number by dragging them. Double-click the value and then you can type in a
number. Remember to press Return or Enter when you're done typing.
Page panel
h is panel of ers most of the same controls as Single Image/Contact Sheet covered
earlier in this chapter: Page Background Color, Identity Plate, and Watermarking.
Using a Picture Package, you can also check the box to apply Cut Guides. When
Cut Guides are enabled, you can use the adjacent popup menu to choose either
solid lines or corner crop marks.
Custom Package
For total control over the photos and their position on each page, use a Custom
Package. h is works essentially the same as the Picture Package style, but you
can use multiple photos on any number of pages. h e controls in Picture Package
that are not available in Custom Package are Zoom to Fit and Auto Layout; these
functions are irrelevant in the Custom Package.
Don't forget to do your Page Setup i rst.
h en choose Custom Package from the
Layout Styles panel.
h e easiest way to start laying out a Custom
Package is to simply drag and drop photos
on the page, then resize and position them
where you want them. You can also place
cells i rst (using the controls on the Cells
panel as described in Picture Package), then
drag and drop your photos into them.
Like Picture Package, in Custom package
it's possible to have photos overlapping.
However, in Custom Package you can right-
click or Ctrl+click for a contextual popup menu with many additional options.
From this menu, for example, you can change the stacking order of the pictures by
sending them forward or back, rotate or delete the cell, automatically match the
cell to the photo aspect ratio, or anchor the cell (see Figure 6-35).
