Resize at the end of the workl ow
Always resize your photos at er all other post-processing has been completed, and
only resize as necessary for the intended purpose. If you're planning to do more
processing on the i les at er the export, leave them at the native resolution.

Resize to Fit
In this section of the export dialog box you can specify a dif erent size for the
new i les. Check the box to resize them, otherwise the derivatives will be the same
size/resolution as the originals.
All the numeric entries represent maximum constraints: the numbers entered
here are always the largest possible size that would be output.
Also, regardless of how you specify the output size, no distortion of the exported
images will result—all the resizing controls in Lightroom export produce images
that retain the proportions of the original.
h e choices for resizing are:
Width and Height: enter the maximum size(s) for width and/or height. (You
can leave one or the other blank.) h e photo(s) will be scaled so that both
dimensions i t within the specii ed measurements.
Dimensions: the images will be scaled to i t within the specii ed dimensions
without regard to which is width and which is height. h e smaller of the two
numbers will determine how much the image is scaled.
Long edge: set the size for the long side of the photo; the short edge will be
scaled proportionately.
Short edge: set the size for the short side of the photo; the long edge will be
scaled proportionately.
Megapixels: this will proportionally scale the photo to i t within the target
i le size.
Don't Enlarge
Check this box to prevent Lightroom from enlarging any images whose originals
are already equal to or smaller than the specii ed output size.
Limit i le size
With this box checked, Lightroom will attempt to create an exported i le(s) that
i ts within the specii ed size limit. However, be aware that other settings on the
