Finding a photo on your hard drive
From within the Lightroom catalog, you can easily locate an image i le anywhere
on your hard disk. Control+Click or right-click on the photo. From the contextual
menu choose Show in Finder or Show in Explorer; this will locate the image within
your hard drive's i le system.
Finding a photo in the Lightroom Folders list
Occasionally, when working in a source other than a folder, you may need to i nd
the folder, within Lightroom, that contains the image. Control+Click or right-click
the image. From the contextual menu choose Go to Folder in Library.
Note that if you're already working in any Folders image source, this menu
command is not available.
Removing photos
You can remove images from Lightroom without af ecting them on the hard disk,
or you can use Lightroom to actually delete i les from the disk (see Figure 3-13).

Select the af ected image(s) and press Delete. A dialog box appears giving you
three options:
Delete from Disk: Remove the photo(s) from the Lightroom catalog and move
the image i le to the system trash.
Remove: Remove the photo(s) from the Lightroom catalog but leave the image
on the disk. You won't be able to work on the photo in Lightroom any more
unless it's re-imported or synchronized.
Cancel and do nothing.
